Being Sensible

Hey Blog,

A lot has changed since my last post. At the end of last year I made the scary decision to quit my day job. I was pretty miserable for the whole of last year if I'm honest and dreaded going to work every day. I have always been sensible and it felt like such an un-sensible thing to do, although I went about it in a sensible way. I worked out the end of the year and got my final pay, which is a scary thought.

I'm not ruling out getting another job in the future, but I feel like I owe it to myself to have a shot as seeing if I can make some money off by bird art. I haven't really thought through how I'm going to plan this yet, I will knuckle down some plans once the holiday season feels like it's over.

So far this year I've been having fun being lazy, it's a strange concept for me, because for all of the last 6 years I have been spending every spare moment working on my craft, I never used to sit down and just watch movies, I would always be sewing notebooks or drawing at the same time. I subscribed to Netflix for a month and loved watching Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, I totally recommend it!

I haven't been a total couch potato though, I have been getting out and seeing birds and going on nature walks. I have also been doing way too much baking. I've made batched of vegan Afghans, Chocolate Chip Cookies and even learned how to make my own pizza dough. I'm looking forward to having more good things to post this year, now I will have the time to do all the things that have been on my to-do list for years. Anyway here are some bird photos that I've taken during these summer holidays, I just love taking photos of birds...
