This original ruru / morepork is carefully hand painted in gouache (opaque watercolour). This painting is on wood panel with a wonky Wallace Studio frame.

Painting size is 17cm wide and with frame the outer size is 19cm wide by 20cm high.

Each of my illustrations are inspired by real-life bird encounters and are referenced from my own photographs. I aim to highlight the distinctive features of each bird while celebrating their unique characteristics and charm.
